The Urbanism Hour – keeping your finger on the pulse

The Urbanism Lunch Hour has quickly become a hit with urbanists from across the globe craving a weekly shot of urban inspiration.  What started as an online response to the lock-down has not only changed the way that our members engage with the Academy, but has allowed us to reach new and broader audiences and organise quickly around new topics and agendas, particularly dealing with responses to Covid-19.

As a result, our YouTube channel has never looked fuller. We have captured all of the talks so far, hearing from Prof Greg Clark, chair of Connected Places Catapult, on healthy town and regional economies, Henriette Vamberg, Partner & Managing Director CPH at Gehl, on instant transformations that lead to long-term change, and Councillor John Burke, cabinet member for transport and public realm at Hackney City Council, on how his London borough is responding to Covid-19 at street-level.

Sponsor a future Urbanism Lunch Hour
We have some fantastic sessions coming up, and more to plan. To help sustain this lively and rich programme of online events, you and your organisation are invited to sponsor a session. For £250+VAT, you can partner with us to plan the content of a future session around a subject close to your heart, invite guests, and of course co-brand the session. Help us reach ever-greater audiences and keep the Academy on the front-foot of the issues that really matter. For more information, please contact me on sg@academyofurbanism.org.uk or +44 (0) 7840 436844.
