The Academy has now visited and assessed all 15 Finalists for this year’s Urbanism Awards. Below is a sneak preview of the types of places we have seen – from Bradford’s City Park to Falmouth’s Harbour.

For Academicians, the visits are an excellent way to get involved with the Academy’s learning programme and also to pick up new practices and ways of doing things from around the UK, Ireland and elsewhere in Europe.

The Awards culminate this year in London on 9 November 2012 with a ceremony featuring Ian McMillan, the Academy’s Poet-in-Residence. Ticket details for this event are due to be announced shortly. Register your interest early with Stephen Gallagher sg@academyofurbanism.org.uk.
