Job Opportunities at The Academy of Urbanism

The Academy of Urbanism is looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our team and be part of the AoU’s mission to understand, promote and celebrate what makes great places. We are looking for applicants interested in joining us to work on our event and activity programme; support the growth and development of the Young Urbanist Network; maintain our membership database; and contribute to our engagement activities. 

We are open to flexible working, and are currently looking for either one all-rounder for both positions on a full time basis or two specialists to cover the roles below.  We aim to respond to applicants’ interests, strengths and experience to create the ideal ‘fit’. The salary band for these roles is between £25,000 – £27,000 pro rata.

Programmes Coordinator (part time – up to 3 days per week)

Young Urbanist & Membership Coordinator (part time – up to 3 days per week) 

Ideally, candidates must have either experience of running events, and project management or experience with membership based organisations, along with good administrative skills. Candidates should also be able to work as part of a small team and due to the current circumstances on their own.

The Academy of Urbanism is based in Clerkenwell, London EC1, however the AoU team is currently working remotely. Successful applicants will be also able to work remotely however when it is safe again they will need to access our London offices when required.
