YU Event / Empathy Walks: Exhibition and Social

April 7, 2017 @ 18:00 - 20:00 BST

Join us from 6pm at The Gallery on Cowcross Street for a social event and exhibition to discover Empathy Walks! Drinks and nibbles will be provided, so you can start your weekend off with a bang!

We will be showcasing the methodology of the project and all the material produced since its beginning in a exhibition that attendees can enjoy over drinks from 6pm. This will be followed by a video of a walk through Southwark on March 4th 2017, short presentations and an open discussion.

Empathy Walks is a open source project and a recipient of the Young Urbanists Small Grants Scheme which aims to build empathy and inclusion in the city by sharing and accessing different layers of London while walking together with people from different communities. Diverse everyday activities in the city are what builds the vibrancy in the city, however they are not valued enough within the design and planning process when making decisions for the city. The walks aim at being an inclusive and intimate eye-opening experience to re-think what is the city and how we co-exist in the city.
