Managing Urban Change and Growth
The Academy is delighted to support the upcoming conference taking place in Utrecht ‘Managing Urban Change and Growth; Connectivity – Lifestyles – Governance’.
Building on the 2012 Learning Cities Platform event that was held in Utrecht, of which the Academy was a key partner, the Spring Conference 2018 invites professionals and thinkers from all around Europe to join a new edition of the platform to discuss, debate and explore new ways to approach urban development with all its socio-economic, technical and governance issues.
The conference will include plenary and in-depth breakout sessions covering both theoretical and practical perspectives. We hope the results from the various sessions offer you insights in your work and / or involvement in the process of urban change and growth elsewhere.
This conference will give you an experience you’ll never forget because you will:
- Visit to the new, biggest bicycle parking garage in the world
- Visit the ruins of the Vredenburg Castle incorporated in the basements of the new shopping mall and the restored Singel (canal)
- Be invited to a special dinner in het Utrecht Spoorwegmuseum (Railway Museum): enjoy a full conference dinner between old and special trains
- Experience an unique conference venue:‘Tivoli Vredenburg Music Palace’ and much more
