Oxford-Milton Keynes-Cambridge Growth Arc: Global powerhouse?

February 21, 2019 @ 18:15 - 20:30 GMT

The Government is promoting the Oxford – Milton Keynes – Cambridge Arc as a region of economic growth that will compete on a world stage.

2019 is a critical time to ensure the foundations for this growth are sound. What will this mean? Will growth be managed by one overarching governance body? Is a joint Local Plan and Spatial Vision a necessary part of this?
How will one million new homes be accommodated in the Arc?

Can we act on this together? What is needed to deliver the global offer?
To initiate this important debate we have invited speakers with an insight into regional growth and metropolitan areas, to give us a European and a UK perspective.

Chris Murray – Director, Core Cities UK

Core Cities UK is a united voice representing ten cities in the UK. The organisation promotes the role of our great cities in creating a stronger, fairer economy and society

Henk Bouwman – Secretary General, Metrex

Chair
David Lock CBE – Strategic Planning Advisor, David Lock Associates Vice President of the TCPA and President of MK City Discovery Centre
