Organised by SALUS Global Knowledge Exchange
in collaboration with Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design, Royal College of Art, the Healthy City Design 2018 International Congress seeks to share and stimulate new research, innovative practice and progressive policy ideas on the theme of ‘Creating healthy cities for all: Designing for equity and resilience’. Six dedicated streams will focus on:
- Healthy homes and neighbourhoods;
- Urban planning, resilience and renewal;
- Work and workplace;
- Sustainable development;
- Placemaking and the public realm; and
- Smart cities and mobility.
The event will host a poster gallery of innovative research and projects, and a knowledge-focused exhibition of design solutions for cities, communities and workplaces. Participants are also invited to join a Gala Dinner and networking evening, featuring live entertainment and a keynote address from a world-leading thinker in future city design.
The Academy of Urbanism Director Janet Sutherland will chair a session on Intergenerational Community Design. The Academy is also represented through a number of Academicians who are speaking throughout the two days.
Online registration is open. Early bird tickets are available until 6 September 2018
