Happynomics – Inventiveness and Resourcefulness in Community Building, Afternoon walk talk
October 30, 2014 @ 14:00 - 17:00 GMT
The Academy of Urbanism partners with Changing Chelmsford to present the Happynomics Walk and Talk, starting at the Anne Knight Building, the second of three stimulating events exploring links between city life, creativity, health and wellbeing. The base for the day will be the refurbished Anne Knight Building opposite the main entrance of Chelmsford Railway Station, with the event itself inspired by Knight’s reforming work.
The production of enjoyment through art contributes to economic vitality and community belonging. Artists’ research uncovers hidden knowledge about places. Making and playing is shaping a new economic sector, influencing business, public engagement and urban visual literacy. In this talk-walk, we will hear from artists Tracy Vine, Frances Lord, Thomas Joynes, as well as entrepreneurs who make space for artists, business owners in Viaduct Road and workers at the Ideas Hub in Chelmsford. Led by Roger Estop.
