Glass-House Debates: Does Practice Make Perfect in Place?

October 1, 2014 @ 17:30 - 20:00 BST

glass-house-logoThe Academy is delighted once again to partner with The Glass-House Community Led Design in their annual debate series.

To a More Ambitious Place seeks to question the practice, governance, foresight and culture surrounding placemaking in order to stimulate debate on how we push our aspirations to the next level.

The series will bring together a diverse audience and a range of perspectives in placemaking to debate the issues and challenge accepted thinking.

Join us for the first event in the series: Does Practice Make Perfect in Place?

The event looks to address: how does the way that we learn about place, and the way in which we practice placemaking, prevent us from taking a holistic approach to place? How do our ideas about practice make or break the places we create?

Speakers:

Chair: Sophia de Sousa, Chief Executive, The Glass-House Community Led Design

Venue: Principal Seminar Room 01, Reid Building, The Glasgow School of Art, 167 Renfrew Street, Glasgow G3 6RQ

Kindly supported by local partners:
