“Life’s too short to worry about heritage”
With the world unrecognisable from even a few months ago, we will debate the merits of holding on to and learning from the past as a means to guide future urbanism. Against the backdrop of circumstances over which our grip seems to be loosening, such as the climate emergency, inequality and, of course, new threats to our global health, is our notion of good urbanism tied to a past which is now irrelevant?
