AoU Coffee Break, Scotland
November 5 @ 16:00 – 16:45 GMT
For our Coffee Break session this week, we will be joined by guest speaker Steven Tolson who will talk to us under the title Are planners ageist?
Steven has been researching older people’s housing and care for a long time, and in 2017 was a joint author of ‘Being Home’ https://research-portal.uws.ac.uk/en/publications/being-home-housing-and-dementia-in-scotland-2017. This report included a review of planning policy in Scotland on older people’s housing as well as those with dementia.
Steven sees ageing as a significant matter for all those engaged in place making and housing delivery, and we do hope you can join us to discuss.
The session will be chaired by Academician Nick Walker of Collective Architecture, who also sits on the Advisory Group of the AoU in Scotland,
Members based in Scotland will receive a link to join the Coffee Break via email. If you are an AoU member in another region or nation, you are welcome to drop in on us – just email AoU_Scotland@academyofurbanism.org.uk – and we will send you a link to join.
We may record the session so we can share it with those unable to attend. If you do not wish to be recorded please feel free to keep your video turned off, so that images are not captured – we will let you know once we start to record.
