Academicians are invited to join the Academy based on their proven contribution to creating, managing, promoting or maintaining great places. Academicians come from a wide variety of disciplines involved with the creation of our cities, towns and villages, and bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and insight to the Academy's founding principle of Learning from Place. The Academy encourages active participation from Academicians where possible, through involvement in the development of our programmes, events and The Urbanism Awards.
