Bringing together the 15 finalists from each year of The Urbanism Awards into one publication, Space Place Life recognises their respective achievement by documenting, through an over-head figureground, (Space), a memorable image (Place) and a poem (Life), the compelling, beautiful and completely unique spaces in three imaginative and inspiring ways.

Normally residing on BBC Radio 4, the Academy’s acclaimed poet-in-residence, Ian McMillan, has penned a profound poem for each of our Great Places, set against the drawings of David Harrison.
