Events ANNUAL CONGRESS VI 'Liveable Neighbourhoods' The Academy's sixth Annual Congress took place in the unique city of Glasgow, amongst the backgrop of an amazing 30-year journey of transformation - from 'the worst corner of Britain' (Observer 1980) to 'a fantastic world class city' (Conde Naste) The Congress focused on Liveable Neighbourhoods, looking at their Renaissance, Regeneration and Reconstruction, exploring their resilience in terms of economy and social capital. Themes explored include placemaking; the psychology of place; community, culture and identity; health and liveability and making things happen in a recession. Here, we bring you the learning from the Congress compiled by Architecture + Design Scotland For more information about attending the Congress please contact Stephen Gallagher on +44 020 7251 8777 or to email Click here Click here to download a printable copy of the programme.
